This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It has been able to spend time at the museum on loan from Decker Library.
While women’s magazines regularly published pillow and cushion designs aimed at the skilled home sewer, Crownfield’s design was possibly intended for a packaged embroidery kit with a preprinted design on fabric.
